Viper Comics Looking For New Webcomic!

Viper Comics is Looking for a Brand New Webcomic

September 19, 2006 – Viper Comics has announced they will now be accepting open submissions for a webcomic to join the company’s existing strips You’ll Have That and The Horrible Pirates.

“Viper is always on the lookout for the newest talent in comics and hopefully this opportunity will allow us to showcase a great unknown to a world-wide audience,” said Viper President Jessie Garza.

Creators will need to provide sample pages/strips of their webcomic (with finished art) and a full pitch regarding the characters and content. Only submissions from complete creative teams will be accepted. All submissions should be sent to info@vipercomics.com.

The chosen webcomic will launch on the Viper Comics website alongside Viper’s You’ll Have That by Wes Molebash and The Horrible Pirates by Patrick Bussey.

You’ll Have That is a comic-strip about a young married couple updated every weekday. It has received one print collection with a second due in December.

The Horrible Pirates launched in late 2005 and has since been thrilling readers with the adventures of the world’s nastiest pirate crew and their evil monkey rivals. A print collection of the weekly comic is expected for 2007.

The WesCast!

I’ve created a podcast, albeit a very mediocre one, called “The WesCast”. You can check out the first episode by clicking here. The WesCast is also available on my Myspace page!

I’m not sure where I want to go with the podcast at this stage, so write me and let me know what you think I should do. What I’d love to do for the next episode is read some of your mail and respond to it, so go ahead and e-mail me any questions, comments, and/or plain silliness to me at wesmolebash@gmail.com. Be sure to put “WesCast” in the subject line, that way I know it’s cool for me to read the e-mail on the podcast. :)

Pre-order announced for “Theater Hopper: Year Two”

Year TwoIn an effort to overrun Boxcar with Theater Hopper-related book news, I return with this announcement!

Hot off the early-summer success of “Theater Hopper: Year One,” artist and writer Tom Brazelton of the popular movie-related web comic Theater Hopper has announced the pre-sale of his second book - appropriately titled “Theater Hopper: Year Two.”

This new book captures the second year of Theater Hopper in it’s entirety. Nearly 250 pages of content in glorious color. 153 strips, each with freshly written commentaries by the author. 7 guest strips from the era have also been included as well as 84 bonus sketches created when the artist was clawing and scratching for votes on those fancy-pants top web comic list sites! The book also features an introduction from his wife (and character within the comic) Cami.

Pre-orders are being accepted through September 29. As an added incentive, Theater Hopper will be giving away six (6) hand-made dolls based off the lead character’s faithful pet beagle Truman - stitched with ever-loving care by Cami herself. These are one-of-a-kind creations not to be overlooked!

3 dolls will be given away the first week of the pre-order. 2 dolls the second week and 1 doll the last week. So if you want to increase your odds of winning, place your order early!

The cost for “Theater Hopper: Year Two” during this pre-order period is $15 (plus shipping and handling). Expected delivery for the completed books will be the first week of November.

For those of you who have yet to buy a copy of “Theater Hopper: Year One,” we are bundling the two books together for a special discounted price of $25.00 (plus shipping and handling). All orders submited before September 29 will have their names entered into the hand-made doll give away.
